- I am based in Perth, Western Australia. You might enjoy my books - The Dagger of Dresnia, the first book of the Talismans Trilogy, is available at all good online book shops as is Book two, The Cloak of Challiver. Book three, The Seer of Syland, is in preparation. I trained in piano and singing at the NSW Conservatorium of Music. I also trained in dance (Scully-Borovansky, WAAPA) and drama (NIDA). Since 1987 I have been writing reviews of performances in all genres for a variety of publications, including Music Maker, ArtsWest, Dance Australia, The Australian and others. Now semi-retired, I still write occasionally for the ArtsHub website.

This is Fiona’s first novel and there are three good reasons why you should buy it:

2. You choose the price you want to pay - as much or as little as you like.
3. My name turns up (in good company) in the dedication

Hallo Satima,
I think by now you have returned to your home in "the Mount" and that you are slowly settling in your place again. It will be different from your last stay, as so many awful things happened meanwhile. I hope the company of your family-members will help you in this matter.
Here everything is going normal. At present we are looking forward to host Len Neist's daughter Silka (one of the twins) for a week at the end of this month, as she is on a Europe tour at present.
Look after your health - and give my regards to Anne and Brian and Erica.

Hey Elfriede - great to hear from you! I hope you are all well. I feel bad for missing Sampath's birthday (I was on the road and birthdays went by the board) but I hope he had a good day.
Yes, I'm back in the Mount for a few weeks. It's COLD here! Not cold by Rheingau standards, I'm sure, but cold enough, especially as Aussie houses tend not to have heating. We refuse to admit we have winter here, you see:-)
How nice that you will have Silka to stay for a week. I have never met Len's family, so I hope you will send me some photos. I know Silke will enjoy your hospitality, as I did.
