About Me

My photo
I am a writer, editor, reviewer and dance teacher based in Perth, Western Australia.

My books

The first two novels of my trilogy, The Talismans, are not available as e-books at present, but I expect to get them back online shortly. However, I do have paperbacks of The Dagger of Dresnia at the low price of $25 including postage within Australia. I also have a short story, 'La Belle Dame', in print - see Mythic Resonance below. The best way to contact me is via Facebook!

Buy The Talismans

The first two books of The Talismans trilogy were published by Satalyte Publications, which, sadly, has gone out of business. I hope to see my books back on Amazon under a new publisher in the near future.

Dancing with Zebras

Now there's an intriguing title for you! It's the name of a new e-book by my writing buddy Fiona Leonard. Fiona is a former Australian diplomat who spent three years living in Zimbabwe and travelling in southern Africa. Dancing with Zebras is an exciting tale about an adopted young woman’s relationship with her birth mother – but the story behind her adoption is strange and complex, filled with mystery and intrigue.

This is Fiona’s first novel and there are three good reasons why you should buy it:
1. It’s a bloody good read
2. You choose the price you want to pay - as much or as little as you like.
3. My name turns up (in good company) in the dedication

And, of course, if we don’t all buy the book Fiona and her family may have to swim back to Oz from America.

You can find Dancing with Zebras over at Smashwords. Check out Fiona's Smashwords profile and read more about Dancing with Zebras.

And to find out what Fiona, her husband, daughter and dog are doing in America, check out their blog at http://www.yearinamerica.net

Next week I hope to have a really special blog post and if I am to meet the deadline it will go up a day early. So come back on Saturday for a Carnival!!

Nice to see you emerging from hibernation. Been thinking of you...

Thanks, Glenda. I'm still a bit fragile, but I'm gradually getting it together, I think.

Hallo Satima,
I think by now you have returned to your home in "the Mount" and that you are slowly settling in your place again. It will be different from your last stay, as so many awful things happened meanwhile. I hope the company of your family-members will help you in this matter.
Here everything is going normal. At present we are looking forward to host Len Neist's daughter Silka (one of the twins) for a week at the end of this month, as she is on a Europe tour at present.
Look after your health - and give my regards to Anne and Brian and Erica.
Love, Elfriede

Hey Elfriede - great to hear from you! I hope you are all well. I feel bad for missing Sampath's birthday (I was on the road and birthdays went by the board) but I hope he had a good day.

Yes, I'm back in the Mount for a few weeks. It's COLD here! Not cold by Rheingau standards, I'm sure, but cold enough, especially as Aussie houses tend not to have heating. We refuse to admit we have winter here, you see:-)

How nice that you will have Silka to stay for a week. I have never met Len's family, so I hope you will send me some photos. I know Silke will enjoy your hospitality, as I did.

Hugs to everyone!

Satima, It is a good title indeed. And the story-line sounds great too.

Yes, it's a good yarn. an interesting way to self-publish, too - ask people to pay whatever they like!
